Where we are
Optimize Fitness Ltd is based near Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire and so is within easy travelling distance of northern England and north Wales. Being so centrally situated and within a few miles of the M62 means we are ideally located to service most of the North.
We are able to use the fantastic facilities and environment locally for much of our coaching, especially the fells, trails, roads and bridleways of the South Pennines for our running coaching programmes.
We also offer on line coaching, training plans and support for individuals plus fitness testing, coach development workshops, assessment and verification.
Who we are
The Lead Coach at Optimize Fitness Ltd is Graeme Woodward who is supported by other professionals who are experts in their field. Graeme has been coaching for over 30 years and has an MSc in Strength and Conditioning, UKSCA S&C Accreditation, UK Athletics Level 3 Performance Coach, is on the England Athletics National Coach Mentoring Programme and has UKCC RL Level 2. He is the Coaching Coordinator for the Fell Runners Association is currently working with the Rugby Football League, British Athletics and England Athletics as a lead coach education tutor, assessor and internal verifier and is the Network Coordinator / Lead S&C Coach for the Calderdale Athletics Network. Graeme is currently coaching private clients, athletes within the Calderdale Athletics Network, S&C for St Helens RLFC Womens team and for Yorkshire Sport Foundation as a coach mentor. He has a massive range of experience in coaching different sports and delivering S&C to individuals and teams in a range of sports to international and professional levels.
Optimize Fitness personnel have expertise in running, cycling, strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, navigation training, mountain leadership, sports psychology and nutrition with delivery experience to a wide range of amateur and professional sports including Track & Field, cycling, orienteering, triathlon, ski touring, mountaineering, adventure racing, skiing, aquatics, squash, martial arts, team games and aquatic disciplines.
