Where we are


Optimize Fitness Ltd is based near Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire.


We offer 1: 1, face to face and on-line running coaching, strength and conditioning, personal training, kettlebell-based fitness, sports nutrition, sports rehab and performance analysis for individuals and teams all over the UK and as far as Africa. 


Who we are


The lead coach at Optimize Fitness Ltd is Graeme Woodward, whose qualifications include:


  • MSc Strength and Conditioning

  • UKSCA S&C Accreditation

  • Level 4 Sports Nutrition

  • UK Athletics Level 3 Performance Coach


Graeme has a wealth of experience:


  • Lead S&C Coach for St. Helens RLFC Women’s team

  • Nine years of experience with professional RL clubs

  • Ten years as the Coaching Coordinator for the FRA and Lead Tutor/Assessor for England Athletics, the FRA and Rugby League.

  • Consultant for England Athletics

  • Years of experience working with elite and amateur athletes as S&C, nutrition and running coach.

  • Supporting athletes in Track and Field, ultras, disability sport, cycling, time trialing, golf, triathlon, mountaineering, ski touring, running, swimming, martial arts and rehabilitation including athletes who have summited Everest, achieved a time trial world record and competed in Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

  • Lecturing on a MSc Sports Rehabilitation course.


The Lead Personal Trainer and Kettlebells Instructor is Helen Woodward. She is a qualified Personal Trainer, Gym, Kettlebells and Spin Instructor. Helen has experience of working with individuals and small groups face to face or remotely. Individual and small group kettlebell coaching is her speciality, alongside the more traditional gym-based training.​


Optimize Fitness works in partnership with experts in physiotherapy, nutrition, sports psychology, sports therapy/ massage and event specific coaches to provide high level wrap around support services for individuals and teams.
