Our running coaching programmes are delivered by practising coaches who have coached athletes from recreational to international, and across all events, from road, XC to fell and track. All of our coaches are qualified up to UKA Level 3 or 4 and are still active runners.
No training programmes got from magazines and no gimmicks- just practical, scientific coaching designed for your needs and based on, sound, accurate fitness testing so you know where you are at and can assess your progress.

Performance Running Analysis
Full fitness testing (power, ground contact time, stiffness, reactivity, lactate, urine etc ) and profiling, enhanced functional movement screening, video analysis and evaluation giving strengths and weaknesses and recommendations to improve. Usually takes between 1.5 and 2 hours. Email and text support.
£99 plus venue hire and travel if required.
Performance Running Coaching
Full fitness testing, profiling, functional movement screening, video analysis and evaluation giving strengths and weaknesses, analysis of movement skills, running technique, movement skills, biomechanics and recommendations to improve. 4 weeks of session plans. Unlimited text and email support. Email facility for sharing video clips to monitor progress.
Individual: £189 for first month which includes testing and profiling plus venue hire and travel if applicable. Successive months are £90 for 3 sessions per month, plus hourly rate for any further testing etc. Additional sessions at £25 each. Minimum 3 month package.
Small group ( Up to 4 ) : £320 plus venue hire and travel if applicable. Successive months are charged at the individual hourly rate.
On Line Coaching & Session Plans
Some runners want the technical advice and support of a coach with the freedom of running when and where they want. Optimize Fitness can supply training plans on line to help you achieve a PB. This can involve 'virtual' testing and movement analysis where you supply the test results and video footage, we do the analysis and feedback key areas to improve backed up by proven training sessions geared to your needs. This has proved really useful for triathletes who haven't got the time to join a traditional running club but see the need for technical running coaching to complement their cycling and swimming sessions.
Prices start from £60 a month which includes session plans, video analysis of running technique, evaluation and suggested improvements.
